Portmeirion village was created to encourage people to look and appreciate different styles of architecture. The village was meant to be seen. The fact that it was located in what is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the UK adds another dimension to his creation.
In this painting I have tried to combine these two elements by including the magnificent landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia) as a background to the print, with Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) prominent in the distance.
