I always claim that I could paint Y Cnicht blindfolded, I've done it so many times. I've walked it countless times from every conceivable direction. I've run it raced up it and camped on it, and to top this I can see it clearly from my house.
It is an artists dream, every schoolboys idea of what a mountain should look like, and because of that sharp ridge that falls away from the summit southwards (towards the viewer) it always presents a strong three dimensional element.
