The Rhinogau is a range of hills arranged conveniently along a ten mile ridge in the southern part of Eryri (Snowdonia), but that's about the only convenient thing about this range of hills. Compared to other parts of  Eryri they are relatively quiet, one of the reasons for this is that the northern half of the range is very rough and rugged with only vague pathways linking the area. This idyllic lake is located on the main ridge itself where the path along the length of the ridge dips down between Y Llethr and Rhinog Fach. I have painted or drawn this numerous times.
